Pokémon Battle Revolution takes place on an island called Pokétopia, where your goal is to battle your way through challenging Colosseums to become the Pokétopia Master. Pokémon Battle Revolution is the first Wii - Nintendo DS linked title, which means that you can transfer your Pokémon from Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl wirelessly and watch them battle in full 3D!

Pokémon Battle Revolution features three main modes of play: Colosseum Battle Mode, DS Battle Mode, and Wi-Fi Battle Mode. In Colosseum Battle Mode, your goal is to battle your way through a series of Colosseums, each with its own set of rules and challenges. In DS Battle Mode, two to four players can get together to watch their Pokémon battle on the big screen while using their Nintendo DS systems as controllers. To participate in this mode, each player will need his or her own Nintendo DS and copy of Pokémon Diamond or Pokémon Pearl.

Must do Better!

A Customer from NEATH, 1st April, 2008

Pokemon Battle Revolution did not go down as well in our house as Pkemon Colliseum. There was only the possiblity of downloading your pokemon form ONE DS game, no options avaibale for getting your pokemon collectionout of pokemon BOX which would have been big bonus. there were also difficulties in the control options for younger players as you could not 'point and click' the monsters and fight choices. ye sthat meant your moves were hidden but it made game play slow and my daughter (7) could not easily follow it. All in all a dissapointment. Nintendo:- Try harder, lets have ALL our pokemon available and ALL battles as point and click. common. Use the WII abilities properly.! pah...

Not so bad

KatiMark from , 17th November, 2008

I haven't played any Pokemon games in a long time now admittedly, pretty much since the days of Pokemon Blue and Red but I thought it may be worth the rent now to see how much things have changed. Although the idea of just having a game just to battle other trainers was certainly different, it still kept my interest for a good hour. I think it's just a game of probablility, which doesn't have the longest life span. All the pokemon battles I entered into had the same levels so it was just about making sure you used the right attacks and elements. That aside, the graphics are good considering it is on the Wii. Of all the games I have played this one rates the highest, which may come as a surprise but it isn't like the game has much to focus on graphically other than the Pokemon and arena surroundings. I certainly don't think it is worth buying. Despite it not appearing to be a game thrown out into the market without any thought (like most TV based games) this still has very limited playability. Probably worth the rent if you enjoy Pokemon.

Not A Wii Game

Hawkins from from Eastbourne, 8th April, 2008

Being a self proclaimed poke maniac when the original pokemon series came out I have been following the series with interest ever since and was delighted when I saw that Pokemon was coming to the wii! I was just dreaming of being able to use the wii controller to throw the pokeballs out and relive my childhood fantasy of being a pokemon trainer! However this was not what I expected. The game is obviously not for the wii as the wii controller is pretty much useless, all you do in this game is press the A button again and again. No need for the wii's technology and capabillities with this one! As well half of the game is focused on whether you have a DS with pokemon which ruins any fun you could have had in single player. The online function is laughable, after trying 10 poke-battles only 2 people actually played, the others all left as soon as the battle started then wanted to trade pokemon setups! All in all this game is a disgrace to the pokemon name, no wonder kids don't seem at all interested in the series anymore.
