Six teens find themselves trapped in an abandoned warehouse, the unwitting pawns in a new reality TV show. The objective? To find their way out after passing numerous physical challenges. The catch? The odds are insurmountable, the games are gruesome and deadly, and nobody ever wins. With obvious nods to such claustrophobic chillers as CUBE, HOUSE OF 9, MY LITTLE EYE, and the SAW films, ARE YOU SCARED seems to reflect a growing disquiet over Big Brother-type surveillance, while at the same time blurring the line between voyeurism and sadism ever further.

Rubbish.

ZiggyPlayedGuitar from from North Shields, 21st June, 2008

This was complete rubbish. It tried so hard to be like Saw that it failed miserably. The acting was hideous, and the plot was even worse.. It just seemed completely pointless, predictable and left so many gaps it was un-real. Do not waste your time.

Not Bad

azza from , 5th January, 2008

Not a bad film, seen a lot better. It made me think of the saw series a little bit but the 'maniac' was very clumsy and kept making mistakes, couple of goofs in the film too but was an ok watch. Would recommend if you want a relaxing film with not a lot of cutting edge scary parts to it.

Zzzz

rb78 from , 5th October, 2008

I fell asleep in the last 20 minutes of this and, when I woke up, couldn't be bothered to watch what I'd missed; it was that good. This film is a Saw-wannabe but it doesn't pull it off. Teens in a warehouse undergoing gory, bloody 'games' devised by someone whose voice is much like Jigsaw's but that's really where the similarity ends. Some games are scarier than others but overall it just doesn't hang together as a film. The bits between the games are pithy and the acting not strong enough to make us care. A detective and a Fed are trying to get to the warehouse to save the day but you care even less about them; characters and scripts so weak they're practically opaque. It's basically an excuse to explore various different methods of killing the characters. But just not in the least bit absorbing with it.

WATCHABLE

jennyren from from Leek, 13th August, 2008

Well i must admit this film did not impress. Other peoples reviews are right the actors are not the best and it reflects in the film. The story line was Saw gone wrong really and it was not scary just sometimes gory. I would give this a miss unless you dont have anything else to watch. Then again it is watchable unlike some films.
