Genres: Wii
Number of players: 1-4
Released: (unknown)
Also available on:

Tennis (1-4 players): Players grab the controller like a racket and swing the game will register forehands, backhands, volleys, lobs, slices, spin and power depending on how fast the user swings and at what angle. Dont worry about moving around the court to get to the ball the game automatically moves players into position.

Baseball (1-2 players): Grip the controller like a bat and swat fastballs out of the park in a home run derby. Timing and bat speed will make all the difference between going yard and whiffing, so keep an eye on the ball and swing for the fences. In the two-player game, one player pitches and the other bats.

Golf (1 player): Step up to the tee, hold the controller like a golf club and swing naturally to smack the ball onto the green. The harder players swing the club, the farther the ball will fly, so be sure to take some practice swings before going for the pin. After reaching the green, line up putts carefully, practice the stroke and try to hole out.

Additional games may be added to the Wii Sports group.

Burn that fat!!

A Customer from Cardiff, 24th June, 2007

This is entertainment for everyone, from people who don't know the console names and never play games to those dedicated nintendo fans!! This amazing new way of playing is addictive AND good for you! You can have a laugh with your mates and compete in tennis, boxing, golf, bowling and baseball (the hardest one!) It can be enjoyed quietly and peacefully but I highly doubt you'll be able to resist putting 100% into winning. My friends sat down while playing at first, after about five minutes we were all running round the room, its like you're actually playing these sports!! It's a great laugh, and great exercise without realising it!! These should be handed out from the NHS we'd all be a lot fitter! Watch out for the old tennis elbow though! I've heard stories about broken tv's and black eyes, luckily no such incidents have occurred but I can see how that would happen. The competitive side of you is finally released and you can get all your anger out! Your mii's become more skilled as you progress and you are able to pull off ace's which is so satisfying! Get playing!!

Fantastic fun!

Jamie from Nottingham, 23rd July, 2008

I guess everyone has this game. Right..? If so, you'll know it's great fun whether you're on your own, or with friends. In fact I'd say it's one of the few multi-player games that stands alone as being great fun, even if you have NO friends! Tennis is my personal favourite - it's just a shame that you can't play singles matches. Still, you can't have everything can you. Roll on 'Wii Sports Resort' next year!

Sportastic!

There is nothing you can say about this game other than 'great' of which it is....no wait...there is that tennis one where you have to aim for the orange barrier and I miss it all the time, but other than that, the Wii Sports package is a must for any Wii owner. Great controls, fun gameplay and it just brings the family together. Love it.

Something for everyone

A Customer from Gloucester, 18th September, 2008

I'm sure it is no mistake this title comes with the wii, gets you started with the controls and there is something there which interests most people. Personally I love the tennis. The only thing I would have liked is better options to say to play as a team against the computer, this would help for players which aren't well matched. Other games include, baseball (a little basic and dull for me - just hitting the ball, golf - not bad but I would guess a little simple for serious player, 10pins - good fun, boxing - can't quite work out the controls for this but great to watch people playing).
