The Broken Lizard comedy group returns to the big screen in a comedy that proves revenge, like beer, is best served cold. When American brothers Todd and Jan Wolfhouse (Erik Stolhanske and Paul Soter) are sent to Germany on a mission to spread their grandfather's ashes at Oktoberfest, they stumble upon a super-secret, centuries-old, underground beer games competition "Beerfest" the Olympics of beer drinking. At Beerfest, the brothers receive a less than warm welcome from their German cousins, the Von Wolfhausens, who shun Todd and Jan, slander their heritage, and worst of all, drink them under the table. Vowing to return in a year to defend their family honor, the Wolfhouse boys assemble a ragtag dream team of beer drinkers and gamers: Barry Badrinath (Jay Chandrasekhar), a consummate skills player with a dark past; Phil Krundle (Kevin Heffernan) AKA "Landfill", the one-man chugging machine; and Charlie "Fink" Finklestein (Steve Lemme), the lab tech with a Masters degree in All Things Beer. With the inspiration of their Great Gam Gam (Cloris Leachman) and the support of her caretaker, Cherry (Mo'Nique), this "Magnificent Five" train relentlessly, using their hearts, minds and livers to drink faster, smarter and harder than they ever have before...

very very bad!

A Customer from plymouth, england, 30th January, 2007

I was expecting some sort 1980s style porky's/screwballs kind of thing. Yes, shallow as it sounds, nude females, sick humour, a movie to watch after the pub and a kebab. Instead, its an hour or so of men drinking beer, and more beer! Avoid at all costs, for shallow/stupid movies (that are well made!) get Porky's or something of that era.

Waste of time!

A Customer from North London, 23rd February, 2007

What was I thinking when I rented this???!!! The accents were awful, the humour deplorable, and there was no storyline just several uninteresting blokes getting pissed all the time to train for .....you know what... I can't remember what they were training for. Does it matter? Watch the movie and decide for yourself!

Wanted: Beer swilling flick

Andybe from , 10th February, 2007

When I rented Beerfest, I expected/wanted a mindless bout of stupidity that I could sit around with my buddies and a case of beer, and laugh my ass off at adolescent antics and bad humor. Beerfest was all of that, except the humor... what a shame.

Stupid......and not that funny.

Ant from Worcester, 14th November, 2008

I was looking forward to this film but it was no where near as funny as i was expecting. 2 or 3 funny bits tops. It was a very silly film which you can get away with if its funny but as it wasnt its just comes across as stupid. The English accent by the way was terrible.

A waste of time and energy

Alice Frith from Ealing, London, 30th September, 2008

A friend recommended this film to me. I think this friend may hate me and wanted to punish me by making me sit throught it. This film was so poor I cannot believe I wasted, what seemed like hours and hours of my life watching it. I had to turn it off halfway through. The film had potential, they could have done anything with a Beerfest type story line, but they chose to put together the most ridiculous storyline that wasn't funny and made no sense.
