fun but way too easy and far too short

I hadn't played the TombRaider games for a while and was quite excited to play this latest version. It looks good, the storyline has bizarrely become a reflection of Angelina Jolie's life rather than about the original Lara Croft character, and it has some fun aspects to it. The problem with it is that it's just way too easy and far too short. The puzzles are really easy to work out and in no way match the mischeviousness or give you the same pleasure that you got when you worked out the puzzles in the early incarnations of this game. In fact, they may have well just forgotten about the puzzles as it's all about the 'shoot 'em up' aspect of the game now. Even the platform game element is too easy now and Lara hardly ever misses a jump or grab. The plus side is that the game is undeniably Tomb Raider. It's probably a great game to play with younger children and there's a cliffhanger at the end leading on to an inevitable sequel. My recommendation is, that if you really want to play Tomb Raider at its best then play the second and third instalments of this great series.
