Begging for UK release!

Chris Benstead from Preston, 8th April, 2006

This soon to be cult classic is one of my favorite films-directed by Bob Gale(Back to the Future) and with an awesome cast of James Marsden (X-Men), Gary Oldman, Amy Stewart and Christopher Lloyd and some great cameo's. Its about a guy with his life already planned ahead of him, taking a road-trip with a castrated genie to meet the imaginary girl of his dreams, along an interstate that doesn't exist. Watch it-its just so great to see a good film that managed to miss any sort of hype.

disappointing

Martin77 from from PLYMOUTH, 24th August, 2008

i tried hard to like this movie but it just wasn't happening. Apart from Ann-Margret doing her sexy older woman performance which is always worth watching I just found this movie to be pretty dull.

Odd but Good

Whitesnakelover from from Rowley Regis, 24th August, 2008

Yes, so, Interstate 60. A film that I don't even remember renting about a man who goes to a road that doesn't exist. And, surprisingly, the film itself is, highly memorable. All a bit strange. Just like the film itself. Before pressing play I decided to view the trailer, possibly to remind me of why I decided to rent this film that I'd never heard of. The trailer was awful. Badly shot, badly edited but, seemingly featuring lots of really well known actors. Was that Michael J Fox? Kurt Russell? Gary Oldman? Christopher Lloyd? I could see? No, surely not. But it was. And they were all interwoven into a film that, quite frankly, defies genre. It's part family film, part action film, part thriller, part romcom, part Hollywood, part Independent and partly genius. I can't believe that a film with such good writing, casting and storyline didn't warrant more attention at the time but I for one am I'm extremely pleased I've spent a couple of hours of my life gawping at it. I think I might gawp again.

Liked it alot

A Customer from Epsom, 20th November, 2008

Was a clever little film, the story line was unique, clever and kept me watching. If you ask me to explain you the story now, it will sound really weird and obscure and maybe not very good, but when you watch it, it really falls into place. The basic premise is about a young guy who doesn't know which way to go in life and has a Dad who is pushing him in a direction he doesn't want to go in. So he sets off on a journey, that is not of his own wish, but he soon starts to enjoy it, and so does the viewer. This is a film I would recommend to anyone.

Amazing!

A Customer from bristol, 15th November, 2008

I first saw this film when i was a teenager and loved it but couldn't find anyone else who had seen it, or even knew about it so when i saw it on here i had to rent it and was thrilled when it arrived!! It is a great film, you can watch and let your imagination run wild! Gary Oldman is briiliant and there are plenty of twists and turns along the way. Just a feel good, easy viewing film where u just go with the flow.

I like films that are not just the same old story reworked so this film was a breath of fresh air. Even the boys thought it was good!
