Timeless classic

A Customer from London, 7th May, 2004

This is one of those eighties cartoons that shows up modern kids TV for the crap that it is. Not just for kids but anyone (especially if you grew up in the 80s and watched it first time round), this is excellent childrens programming that doesn't patronise. Seeing as 'Dungeons & Dragons Volume.1' has just come out, all we need now is a release of 'Mysterious Cities Of Gold'.

Retro cool

ORANGE900 from Devon, 16th June, 2004

Ulysses 31, has not lost its magic, since the last time I last saw it 20 years ago, if you grew up in the ‘80’s, you must consider hiring this and relive your childhood once more.

Complete retro cool; get it!

Go on mullet and bearded one

rikamaru from A little bit of Ashby in Watford, 23rd August, 2005

ah. Takes me back to my childhood. Front doors were never locked, grandma walked the streets in safety, schools had playing fields and Ulysses searched for Hades. Myth, action and cartoon all rolled into one big ball of fun. Far better than the trite made today. Watch and learn kids, watch and learn

Excellent 80's Nostalgia

Cevans2001 from West Midlands, 4th July, 2004

Although it's a bit slow going compared to many modern cartoons, it consists of interesting plot lines with a real story behind them. Recommended to anyone who likes 80's cartoons.

Regression!!

Dee29 from from Bristol, 24th March, 2008

I remember watching this as a kid and loving it, however at the age of 29, the picture is bad, and I managed to watch 10 minutes before getting so bored I turned off!! As much as I feel kids programs today lack the imagination and magic that I remember, this choice just shows how far our technology has come and it is old and tired.

Classic animation

MajorEasy from from Cranbrook, 6th April, 2007

Fantastic. This series was one of my favourites when I was younger, mostly due to the enthralling stories based on the Greek myths - for me it has lost none of it's magic over the years. The animation style is very interesting - the lines and form are those of the Japanese animators but you can see the influences from the French design team in the faces, which are far more realistic and western. DVD contains just the episodes only, no special features. I await Volume 2 with baited breath!!!

Jonathan Rozz from Brighton, UK, 25th March, 2007

This amazing cartoon which is nothing else than Homer's 'The Odessy' played in a futuristic vision revealing the bonding between father and son and other friends on board of a spaceship. They face many challenges put through to them by 'Zeus' the Olympian supreme God. By far one of my favourites when I grew up back in the 80's
