India Arrives!

A R Rahman, on the back of 100 million album sales, takes a company of musicians, dancers and singers to Los Angeles. A brilliant example of his fabulous repertoire of modern Indian songs are rendered in a thoroughly modern manner. Songs from "Bombay Dreams" are scattered amongst sound track songs from his Indian film successes. Seeing singers actually reading their words as they sing is somewhat unusual but they all perform magnificently!

A musical extravaganza

AR Rahman's concert in LA played to a packed audience. The sound quality and visuals are excellent, they make you feel as if the whole orchestra is in your room. The man clearly is very talented and loves his music. Definetly one for the collection.

Brilliant but slightly unprofessional

This was a fantastic concert and this comment is from an Englishman who loves Hindustani culture and people.

The artistes however were as I felt not to their best because their performances would have been better for them to express themselves without being glued to their lyric sheets and notepads which seemed a little unprofessional.

But on the whole the performances by the musicians were exemplary and AR Rahman was brilliant in his own shy but very professional way.
