10/10 game.....on the 360 at least

This game spent years in the workshop since alone in the dark 3. the gameplays amazing if you bump into a table it jolts forward along with all the items on it. killing enemies doesnt involve bullets and beatings it simply involves using your head like attaching a blood bag onto an enemie to distract all the others while you pour petrol all over them and...well you get the idea. the graphics are no doubt next, next gen graphics and the lighting shows up any other. HOWEVER! on the wii none of the above is possible! the graphics suck the gamplays worse (read the other reviews for the rest of the bad points) THE REASON FOR THIS IS this game was made for the 360 and then converted to the wii at the last minute DO NOT BUY (OR RENT) THIS GAME! INSTEAD BUY OR RENT IT FOR THE 360!(maybe PS3, but i havnt seen the PS3 version) GREAT GAME GONE BAD!

Truly terrible

I normally like to see for myself whether games are good or bad - but here is a stern warning... If you had a room full of politicians, arsenal and man utd fans, meat eaters and vegans, christians and muslims, kkk and black panthers.... the ONLY thing they would ALL agree on, is that this a god awful game (the muslims would put out a jihad on this game and the kkk would hang copies from poplar trees)... read the other reviews and take heed - what could have been a great game has ended up being a real stinker...

terrible game on any system

I did have this game on the 360 and its pretty poor, was hoping the wii version is better but its even worse. Once again the wii gets a terrible ps2 port with wii controls stuck on (which are pretty poor) The game feels like it was never tested My advise avoid on ANY system, the 360 version is better its not saying much

Not for me.

This game hasnt had very good reviews so i decided to rent before i bought it just in case. Well i'm glad i did!. Quite simply i didn't like it. The controls weren't great and the whole having to press a button to blink at the very start of the game just got on my nerves. In fact so much so that i didnt play much beyond that before posting the game back. Ok so i might not of given it a fair chance but hey if a game doesnt grip me from the start then i'm not interested.

Very annoying at times but good fun

I have played Alone in the Dark on the PS1 many years ago and loved it, so was really excited about this game. I am hopeless on theWii (need to practice more with the controls!) so insisted my husband played it and I watched!..(to be honest think i was a bit scared!!) My husband isn't really a game player (I bought him a Wii last xmas!)..but he is now hooked due to this game! The graphics are bad at times and at the beginning of the game, when you have to blink is really annoying but it gets better further on. This is good fun game for non-serious gamers!

Truely Dire!!

I don't normally do reviews but this one warranted a little warning to others. Do not rent this title to avoid disappointment! Shame you cannot go below 1 star! Played the original many moons ago on the PC and really enjoyed it. Got my rental copy through this morning, popped it into the Wii, and an hour later popped it back into the 'Return Envelope' to get my next title. I won't go on how bad it is just read the reviews on this website and others. At least I gave it a try but wasted 1 x rental on this. Atari you should be hung, drawn and quartered for this!!
