Gibb 'never saw Saturday Night Fever'
Robin Gibb of
The Bee Gees has claimed he has never seen the film
Saturday Night Fever in its entirety, despite being part of the band who composed the soundtrack.
Gibb and brothers Barry and Maurice wrote the seminal soundtrack to the
John Travolta movie, which has gone on to become a timeless disco classic.
"It's not that I can't watch it. It's just that I'm restless," he told BBC Radio 4's Front Row programme,
He added that he did not even see the entire movie at the US premiere in 1977, where he "only lasted half an hour".
"That actually is par for the course, because a lot of actors will go into a premiere and then go out the exit."
The film's soundtrack is one of the best-selling albums of all time, with upwards of 40 million copies bought around the world.
Robin recently hinted that he and Barry may reform the band next year, despite the absence of third brother Maurice, who died in 2003.
